GS1 Digital Link application implements a standard to correspond every product to a unique digital identity. It is an innovative standard that connects physical products to to online sources of real-time information that brands can control. It is implemented by encoding web urls into barcodes (QR Codes), and making these barcodes to link the physical products and online brand information sources.
1. GS1 Digital Link application generates web links using GS1 application identifiers.
2. It also creates QR Codes that encode these links, which connect a certain product to online description.
3. Allows to save the QR Codes as an image files.
It contains the Domain (GS1 Resolver), Identifier, Key Qualifiers, Data Attributes, and the Link Type using the appropriate controls. As you set the desired values, the http link, and barcode areas reflect the changes immediately.
• Domain (GS1 Resolver) is the web domain, that contains the description of the product you link your code to.
• Identifier (Primary Identification Key) can be selected from the list of GS1 Application Identifiers.
• Some Identifiers require Key Qualifiers which are a set of additional compulsory GS1 application identifiers, helping to specify the product.
• The Data Attributes can be also the GS1 application identifiers, or the custom values, specified by user.
Use the File>Save to save the resulting QR Code to your disk. Or, alternatively, just drag the image to the Desktop, or any other location you wish.
